E-Newsletter #2: Diet and Herpes

Greetings!

Diet is a major factor in combating this virus as well as any disease. Hippocrates said “Let food be your medicine.” Unfortunately too few have headed his advice.

This virus, as all viruses, exists in cells. If the cells become acidic the herpes virus (and all anaerobic disease) will flourish. If the cells become sufficiently alkaline the herpes virus cannot exist within the body.

Unfortunately the vast majority of the population is acidic. We become acidic from diet, stress and over exercise as well as environmental pollutants.

Normal cell metabolism utilizes the direct ‘burning’ of oxygen for energy. This is a ‘clean burn.’ There is no lactic acid build up in the cell. The cells are operating aerobically (with oxygen). Cellular pH is in the alkaline range- above pH 7. This is a very healthy condition. Any disease introduced to the cell will be immediately ‘oxidized’ and destroyed. Disease cannot exist in an alkaline (elevated oxygen) environment.

When the cells become acidic this virus and disease will flourish. This is an abnormal cell metabolism. The cells now produce energy from ‘sugar fermentation’ (instead of from oxygen) which produces large amounts of cellular lactic acid. The herpes virus, cancer etc. thrives in an acidic environment. The cells are operating anaerobically (without oxygen to oxidize disease). This virus, cancer and all disease need sugar to survive.

Glycemic Scale

Carbohydrates turn to sugar in the body. A high carbohydrate diet will provide the sugar needed for this virus to flourish. Therefore a low carbohydrate diet is important to combat herpes, cancer, etc.

The Glycemic Scale measures carbohydrate (and thus sugar concentrations) of foods. The higher the carbohydrate concentration the more (and quicker) bloodstream sugar levels increase. Mostly consume foods that are below 55 on the Glycemic Scale. Occasionally consume foods from 55 to 70 and very rarely consume foods that have a Glycemic Index (GI) of above 70. Information (food lists) on the Glycemic Scale can be located through any search engine on the internet.

The following briefly suggests foods to avoid and foods to consume. The second edition of the book Never an Outbreak will be available in December 2005. It has a very inclusive chapter on diet. If you properly follow the procedure and diet recommendations outlined in this book you will never be bothered with this virus again. You will become completely outbreak and symptom free and therefore not be contagious. Those who purchased the first book will receive a 50% discount on the second edition.

Foods to Avoid

Carbonated soft drinks- they are very acidic and rob the body of oxygen.

Anything hydrogenated or especially partially hydrogenated- this includes all vegetable oils except olive oil, coconut oil or palm kernel oil. Vegetable oils (corn, safflower, Mazola, Canola, etc.) contain an abundance of linoleic acid which severely suppresses the immune system. Read labels on all food packaging. These partially hydrogenated vegetable oils contain deadly trans fats. (Refer to http://www.bantransfats.com/)

Consume no artificial sweeteners of any kind. They are very acidic. Aspartame (Equal, NutraSweet, etc.) is suspected in the rapid rise of brain tumors, Alzheimer’s, etc. (Refer to the web site http://www.mercola.com/article/aspartame/government_cover_up.htm.)

Consume nothing that is labeled ‘sugar free’ except all natural foods- contains artificial sweeteners. Consume nothing that is labeled ‘fat free’ except all natural foods- contains excess carbohydrates.

Consume no margarine- very acidic and contains trans fat.

Consume nothing that contains high fructose corn syrup.

Consume as little refined (white) sugar or flour as possible.

Consume nothing that contains ‘shortening’- disguised partially hydrogenated oil.
