Alkalife: Alkaline Concentrate – Enewsletter December 2008
For our purpose AlkaLife is used to reduce the acidity of coffee, tea, beer, wine and other alcoholic beverages. These beverages have many health benefits. For example the therapeutic effects of coffee over the long term has been noted in relation to reduced risks of type 2 diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, cirrhosis and cancer of the liver, colorectal cancer and suicide. Also as reported in the Journal of Neuroscience, coffee intake not only appears to protect against Alzheimer’s but ma y actually help those who already have the disease.
Tea, beer and wine also have many health benefits. The problem is that coffee, tea, beer and wine are too acidic. They would normally add to acid waste accumulation in the body leading to an environment where disease can flourish. However if you add four drops of AlkaLife to each drink the acid content would be reduced by at least ten fold. Now these beverages are only mildly acidic and can be neutralized by a mildly alkaline diet. With AlkaLife added the health benefits as well as the enjoyment of these beverages can be utilized.
But soda does not fall into this category. Diet soda and regular soda has a pH of 3.5 and 2.5 respectively. This is extreme acidity. You could not add enough AlkaLife (or any alkalizing agent) to reduce the acidity enough to make it acceptable to drink. In Reverse Aging by Sang Whang he states that it would take 32 glasses of good alkaline water to neutralize the acid in one soda.
The bloodstream has to maintain a pH of from 7.3 to 7.45 or death would quickly follow. The blood delivers nutrients and oxygen to the cells to nourish and sustain life. If the blood were to deliver acidic, toxic materials to the cells death would follow. Every time you drink a soda acid is poured into the bloodstream. Blood pH drops significantly. The body in its protective mode will rob alkaline substances from other parts of the body (alkaline reserves) and rush them to the bloodstream to neutralize this acid thereby preventing death. This is called Homeostasis. But when all alkaline substances are exhausted the body, in its survival mode, will encapsulate the remaining acid (acid waste) so as to prevent this acid (toxin) from being delivered to the cells. This raises bloodstream pH back to normal levels. But this acid waste builds up in your body over the years enlarging hearts, liver, spleen, clogging arteries, creating wrinkles, sagging skin, etc. Your body will become very acidic and you will not be able to fight off disease. Every time you consume a soda you put your body through this. Every time.
