What is Herpes 2?
It is a sexually transmitted disease that causes one to have blisters, sores and red bumps on their body.
Who can get it?
Anyone who has unprotected sex with someone who is having an active outbreak as well as mothers giving birth vaginally during an active outbreak.
How is this virus spread?
The simplex 2 virus is spread by skin to skin contact with an infected persons outbreak.
What are the symptoms?
Generally the at the first sign of an outbreak you will see redness and swelling, then you will have red bumps and sores, these will turn into wet ulcers which then will dry up and scab over and fall off.
Keep in mind that not everyone who has the herpes virus will have symptoms, most people live their lives unknowing that they even have the virus, while others have recurring outbreaks and have to deal with sores and being contagious more often.
